Zawji
(my husband) and I arrived safely in Kiev to visit family and friends during
the Yul. Celebrations were many and we are now settled in for a few
months of peace before we travel again to Baghdad. In two weeks we travel west
to a great market place in search of things to take back with us. Zawji is going to participate in a Tournament as he often does when we travel there... It is my hope that it will be an enjoyable trip. Myself, I find now that obligations have been fullfilled, I look forward to new adventures in the new year.
May Allah bring you joy and peace.

Winter
swifly comes upon us and I find myself traveling with Zawji (my husband)
to the much colder climes of Kiev and beyond as we visit family and friends
during the season. I admit, however, that though the weather is much harsher
than that of Baghdad, I welcome the change and visits. It is a somewhat nomadic
lifestyle.
May Allah bring you joy and peace.

Good
greetings to you, and I hope that this missive fines you well. My lord husband
and I have recently returned from a most rewarding journey within the realm,
and now we are traveling the long journey back to Baghdad. Bjarg is bringing
many fine things to trade-- it should be a very good summer. While we travel,
however, there are rumblings of a war off to the east of our home, and should
war be declared, we will, of course, go where my lord husband is called.
I do hope, though, that if you too must travel during this warm time, you remain well, and if you ever enter our homeland, please, stop by, as we would welcome you!
May Allah smile up on you and bring you joy and peace.

Peace be upon you. Winter has come and I have left Bagdhad to follow my husband
home for the next month, spending it with friends and family. Long has it been
since I have been to Bulgar, I am unsed to such winters-- travel can be harsh
this time of year.
I endevor to keep this journal as a way to remember my travels in the coming years. Since I fled my homeland and traveled to Jerusalem ten years ago, I have found myself enamored by the incredible culture and people here; even to the point of making it my own.
By the European calendar it is the year Nine Hundred and Fourty Five Anno Domini. In the last years I have endevored to learn more about the culture here, and when I moved from my father's lands, gifted to him by his lord, I found it exciting and full of new experiences. Now, as I have traveled north from Jerusalem to Bagdhad, found myself married to a Rus trader, I am glad to have had the opportunity to learn and explore the life of such a wonderful people.
It is my hope, that I can take what I have learned in my time here and teach others what I have learned.
